Welcome to my story. I am a mixed heritage, cis-female raised in Manchester, England by a Mauritian mother and Irish-heritage father. I have lived experience of being a woman swimming in the uncertainty between two worlds.
I originally trained as a Mental Health Nurse and worked across forensic services and inpatient mental health wards in Hackney, East London before moving to a crisis team in Croydon, Southeast London. Here, I discovered and dedicated myself to training in Cognitive Analytic Therapy as this seamlessly blends my background in psychology and mental health nursing in the National Health Service.
Values
Gratitude: I am appreciative for all the learning gifted to me by clients over the years. Each person has shaped the therapist I am today.
I work from a place of sincerity and value genuine connection - kindness, being clear and respectful of our limits and boundaries are important values to me.
Self-discovery and open-mindedness are key values I bring to my role as a therapist.
I value intuition and the power of our 'gut feelings'.
I value tenacity and courage as I believe it takes plenty of courage to take risks, live life to the full and make ourselves vulnerable to be able to love and be loved.
